DelinvFile - Delete invalid Files - DelinvFile - is a Windows Utility that you can use to delete data files and folders that you are not able to delete using the standard Windows Delete function.
DelinvFile provides a convenient User Interface for selecting the file or folder that you need to delete and provides for a choice of two delete methods. You use the standard controls for Drives, Folders, and Files to navigate to the Folder or file to be deleted.
Note that Filenames are displayed in both forms - Short FileName and Long Filename as a convenience for the user.
Once an item has been highlighted and selected, you can click the Delete buttons to try to delete it. Note that you may be able to delete with one method but not the other. Try both if necessary. If neither of the delete operations succeed, you have a more involved problem than DelinvFile was designed to handle.
Recent versions include options that require registration. These include Rename File, Rename Folder, "Delete File at Boot", "Delete Folder at Boot" and an 'Open With.." function for allowing you to open your choice of program to view a selected file.

Great Stuff
It was very great, I used it to remove 4 files that could not be deleted otherwise, cause Windows said "invalid filename" when trying to rename/open/delete the files. Thanks. I don't have a need to buy this program though, I only used it for those 4 files.

A hard file to delete...
I've used your program before and I recently found myself coming back to it again in trying to get rid of a file that windows would simply not let me delete even after restarting the system and shutting down as many processes as I possibly could in an attempt to get rid of the file.
Your program came to the rescue, 'Vanquishing' the file with great ease. I'm always amazed to see just how affective it is as what you made it to do!

Deleteing corrupt files on XP
Program was unable to delete folders when the names & sizes were oorrupt. System would not fix using XP tools. Resorted to "chkdsk /f" in a command window to correct the disk. Released over 80GB of bad files in XP restore directory/folder.
Nice software but not what I needed.

Helped me to delete files
I was getting frustrated with files that could not be deleted. Google found DelinvFile and I decided to give it a try. It works! And with the basic functions it's free. Thanks and recommendations!

Worked ok...
The tool did the job, and of course that's the best and most important part. But I found the user interface clunky and counter intuitive.

Good program
I had an invalid file that would not delete after several attempts using various deletion programs. However, after successfully installing DelinvFile, I was able to delete the pest file I had in my program files. DelinvFile appears to work well with regards to deleting unwanted files.

Amazing
Had a few invalid files that locked up my folders to the point that it would crash windows explorer and antivirus scans. I downloaded the program and the invalid files were deleted in seconds. A wonderful product I have already recommended to my friends.

Review of DelinvFile
Thankyou for letting me try your product.
Unfortunately it did not work for me.
I have some undeletable files/folders that were created when an old archive was unzipped to my landrive. The folders were displayed by explorer with
names ".ex", the file was given the name ".!x". Handles to these files were not opened by any other process at the time (I checked this with the reskit filemon utility).
I have emptied the parent folders containing the files/folders, and moved these
parent folders to a "trash" location, but it seems I am unable to remove the files
themselves, without resorting to a reformat.

Good product
Nice functionality. My friend asked me to find something that would delete an undeletable file. I think this did it for her.

Does the job
Great tool, easy to use. Helped with some but I have about 104 files/directories left that it can't/won't delete, most because it can't find them - probably some clever B******D who created them in the 1st place.

Good and Bad
Pretty good product. I was able to delete individual files fine but when I attempted to delete an invalid folder, it failed. All in all I am happy with the product.
